Why I started From the Pit to His Purpose

For a long time, I never imagined that I would share my story publicly. There are parts of my past that I spent years wishing I could erase—pain, addiction, brokenness, bad decisions, and seasons when I felt like I had fallen into a pit so deep I would never find my way out.

But God had other plans for my story.

Looking back now, I can see that Jesus was there even during the times when I didn’t recognize Him. He met me in my brokenness, loved me when I struggled to love myself, and slowly began putting the pieces of my life back together.

My life didn’t change overnight. Healing has been a journey. Recovery has been a journey. Learning to trust God and surrender my life to Him has been a journey too. But through every step, God has shown me that my past does not have to be wasted.

That is why I created From the Pit to His PurposeI want this to be a place where I can be open about the things God has brought me through, what He is teaching me now, and what it looks like to walk with Jesus through recovery, healing, faith, family, and everyday life.

I don’t have everything figured out. I’m still growing, still learning, and still allowing God to work on my heart. But I know where I once was, and I know what Jesus has done in my life.

If you’ve ever felt broken, ashamed, lost, or convinced that you’ve gone too far for God to use you, I hope something you read here reminds you that your story isn’t over.

There is hope after the pit. There is healing after brokenness. There is purpose after pain. And most importantly, there is Jesus.

“He has made everything beautiful in its time.” Ecclesiastes 3:11

This is my story.

But ultimately, it’s His glory. ❤️✝️
