To the Woman Who Feels Forgotten

Dear Friend,

Have you ever felt like everyone else is moving forward while you're standing still? Like you're always there for other people, but when you need someone, nobody seems to notice? Maybe you've been praying about something for a long time, and you're beginning to wonder if God is even listening.

I think most of us have felt that way at some point. There are times when life gets quiet, prayers seem unanswered, and we start wondering where God is in all of it.

Something I've learned in my walk with Jesus is that just because I can't see Him working doesn't mean He isn't. I've had seasons when I didn't understand why things were happening the way they were. Looking back now, I can see that God was present in moments when I thought I was completely alone.

There's a verse in Isaiah that I think is such a beautiful reminder of how much we mean to God.

Isaiah 49:16 (NIV) says:

"See, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands; your walls are ever before me."

I love that picture of being remembered by God. We're not just another face in the crowd to Him. He knows us personally, and He hasn't forgotten about the things we've been praying for.

Maybe you've been waiting for an answer, a change in your circumstances, or simply for someone to notice how hard things have been lately. I can't tell you when those things will happen, and I won't pretend to understand everything God is doing. But I do believe He sees you right where you are.

And I want to encourage you not to measure God's love by how quickly your prayers are answered. Sometimes His timing looks nothing like ours, and that can be difficult to accept. I've had to learn that trusting Him doesn't always mean understanding Him.

If you're feeling forgotten today, talk to Jesus about it. You don't have to pretend you're okay or find the perfect words to pray. Tell Him what's on your heart. He already knows, but there's something comforting about bringing those things to Him anyway.

And please remember that you matter to the people around you, too. Sometimes we need to let someone know we're struggling instead of hoping they'll notice on their own. There's nothing wrong with needing a little encouragement.

I hope you'll remember this the next time you feel overlooked: Your life matters, your prayers matter, and you matter to God.

You haven't been forgotten. Not for one moment.

With love,

Jana
