“Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.”

Ephesians 6:11 (NIV)

Some days I wake up feeling strong in my faith, and other days it feels like the battle starts before my feet even hit the floor. My thoughts can become heavy, fear can creep in, and discouragement can make me forget what I know to be true. But God never told me I had to fight these battles with my own strength. He gave me everything I need to stand firm.

Ephesians 6 reminds me to put on the full armor of God: the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, feet ready with the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. Each piece reminds me that I am protected by truth that doesn’t change. When the enemy fills my mind with lies, I can hold them up against what God says and choose to believe Him instead.

Today, I want to be intentional about putting on my armor. I want God’s truth to guide my thoughts, faith to guard my heart, peace to guide my steps, and His Word to be stronger than every lie that comes against me. The battle may be real, but I don’t walk into it unprotected. God has already given me what I need to stand.

Prayer

God, thank You for giving me Your armor. Protect my mind, strengthen my faith, and help me stand firm in Your truth. Remind me that I never face any battle alone.

In Jesus’ mighty name.
