“Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”
Sometimes we get so caught up in what we're praying for that we overlook what God has already given us. I've been guilty of that myself. It's easy to focus on what we wish were different instead of appreciating what's right in front of us.
When I think about where my life used to be, I realize that some of my greatest blessings are the simplest things. A peaceful home, time with my family, and another day to walk with God. Things I once took for granted now mean so much more.
Being thankful doesn't mean everything is perfect. It means recognizing God's goodness even when life isn't.
My Prayer
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for the blessings I sometimes overlook. Help me appreciate what You've given me and remember Your goodness in every season of life.
